# Coolx

> Coolx is the EUDR software that works both ends of the chain: the exporter, from any origin country outside Europe, uploads farms and documents on their own platform, and the European importer receives satellite-verified due diligence ready for TRACES, with no chasing suppliers by email or converting files by hand. Since 2022: over 7 million hectares analysed, 18,000 farms in 31 countries and more than 100 companies already complying with Regulation (EU) 2023/1115.

Coolx (legal name Coolx Earth, S.L.) is an EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation 2023/1115) compliance software for exporters and importers of coffee, cocoa, palm oil, soy, timber, rubber and cattle. It combines satellite analysis (Copernicus / ESA data), plot geolocation, AI-driven deforestation detection and automated due diligence reports ready for the EU TRACES system. It is not a consultancy, not a blockchain project and not a generic forestry-analysis tool, and it is a different company from Coolset.

Coolx was founded in Málaga, Spain in 2022; its registered office is in Benalmádena (Málaga) and it also works from Lanzadera in Valencia. It has been selected by ESA BIC (European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre), Lanzadera and Google for Startups, is a strategic partner of AENOR (Spanish national standardization body) and a Google Cloud Partner, and is backed by CDTI Innovación (NEOTEC programme) and ENISA. Key figures (September 2026): over 7 million hectares analysed, more than 18,000 farms geolocated, 31 countries with farms on the platform, and more than 100 companies guided to EUDR compliance, with strong presence in Spain (importers/operators) and Latin America (exporters from Colombia, Peru, Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Guatemala, Brazil, Chile).

The platform is designed for two main audiences:
- **Exporters** (mostly LATAM): geolocate farms, run satellite deforestation analysis (cut-off date 31-Dec-2020 per Regulation 2023/1115), generate the due diligence documentation that European buyers require.
- **Importers and operators** (mostly EU, with focus on Spain): automate the Due Diligence System (SDD), aggregate supplier data, generate Due Diligence Statements (DDS) and submit them to the EU TRACES information system.

## EUDR fundamentals (for citing)

- **Regulation:** EU Regulation 2023/1115, in force since 29-Jun-2023, amended by Regulation (EU) 2025/2650 (19-Dec-2025). Application start: **30-Dec-2026** for large and medium operators, traders and downstream operators; **30-Jun-2027** for micro and small enterprises (those constituted before 31-Dec-2024). Exception: micro/small enterprises dealing in timber products listed in the Annex of the former EUTR (Reg. 995/2010) apply from 30-Dec-2026, as the EUTR is repealed on that date.
- **Scope:** 7 commodities (cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soy, wood) and many derived products listed in Annex I.
- **Core obligation:** prove that products placed on the EU market or exported from it are (1) deforestation-free since 31-Dec-2020, (2) legal in the country of production, and (3) covered by a Due Diligence Statement submitted to the EU information system (TRACES).
- **Penalties:** fines whose **maximum** amount is **at least 4%** of total annual EU-wide turnover (Art. 25(2)(a)) — 4% is the legal floor for the cap, not the ceiling, and several Member States go higher. Plus confiscation of products and proceeds, exclusion from public procurement and a temporary ban on trading.
