EUDR software comparison: find out which one is best for you

A guide to choosing EUDR software for 2027, the key year.

On 30 December 2026 large and medium-sized companies start submitting due diligence statements in the EUDR Information System, and on 30 June 2027 micro and small enterprises follow. 2027 will be the first full year with the regulation in force and the authorities carrying out checks. Whoever chooses a tool now will live with it throughout that year.

I am Bruno Domínguez, CEO of Coolx. Coolx is one of the eight software options I compare here, so this page is not neutral and I will not pretend it is. What I can promise is the method: every fact about a competitor comes from its own website, consulted in November 2026, and where a vendor does not publish something I write exactly that, "not published", instead of filling it in.

At the end there is a section on the cases in which Coolx is not the best option, because I would rather you read it here than find out in a demo.

Before comparing: do you need EUDR software at all?

Not every company that handles coffee, cocoa, timber, rubber, soy, palm or cattle needs a tool. You do not need one if:

  • 1You always buy within the EU from companies that have already submitted their statement and you are an SME: as an SME trader you only have to keep the reference numbers of your suppliers' statements.
  • 2You are a micro or small enterprise: your deadline starts on 30 June 2027, six months later. The only exception is timber already covered by the EUTR, which comes in on 30 December 2026.
  • 3Your product was taken out of scope by Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/2102, for example bovine hides or some rubber articles.

You do need one if you are the first to place the product on the EU market or export it from the EU, if you are a large company even though you buy within the EU, or if you are an exporter at origin and your European customers ask you for geolocation and evidence.

The eight criteria we use, and why

They are the ones a buyer can check before signing. None of them depends on an opinion.

  1. 01

    Who it is built for

Importer or operator in the EU, exporter at origin, or both. Submitting the statement is not the same as preparing the data so that your customer can submit it.

  2. 02

    Published price

If there is no figure, we say so. A public figure is not better than a tailored quote, but it allows comparison.

  3. 03

    Lock-in and exit

How long you are tied in and with what notice.

  4. 04

    Satellite analysis

Which imagery, whether the model is in-house or third-party, and what happens with doubtful alerts.

  5. 05

    Legality by country of origin

Whether the tool tells you which documents prove legality in Colombia, Peru, Honduras or Côte d'Ivoire, or just gives you somewhere to upload them.

  6. 06

    Human support

Whether an EUDR expert is included in the licence, paid separately, or simply not there.

  7. 07

    Supplier portal

Whether your suppliers get in for free and without an account, or whether you pay for them.

  8. 08

    Scope

A tool for the EUDR only, or a sustainability suite (CSRD, CSDDD, PPWR, CBAM). Neither is better in the abstract; it depends on what you need to solve.

Who each option fits

One sentence per software, based on what each one publishes.

  • osapiens

Groups that want to cover EUDR, CSRD, CSDDD, CBAM, PPWR and the German supply chain act with a single vendor.

  • Coolset

Companies in the Benelux and northern Europe that already do, or are about to do, CSRD or PPWR with them.

  • Polygon One

German-speaking importers that want to automate the statement from their ERP.

  • LiveEO TradeAware

Importers with few suppliers and supply chains with complex legal risk, who value a legal report per country and can afford the Enterprise plan.

  • TraceX

Supply chains with many smallholders in Asia or Africa that need to collect data in the field without connectivity.

  • Trusty AG

Companies with dozens of suppliers that want a very low cost per supplier and take on the analysis themselves.

  • Supply Logica

Timber and paper importers that were already doing EUTR and want continuity.

  • Consultancy, customs broker or doing it by hand

One supplier, few shipments a year and polygons you already have. It stops fitting when the number of suppliers grows, when you are asked for legality evidence at origin or when you need to repeat the statement every week.

How we work at Coolx

Price: from €2,950 a year

The smallest licence costs from €2,950 a year and includes the support of an EUDR expert throughout the year. From there, the plan is sized to your reality: by number of farms if you export from origin, by number of suppliers if you are a European company.

Lock-in: none

One-year contract, with no lock-in and no automatic renewal; if you prefer two years, you can. Ninety days before it ends we hold a review session with you and ask whether you want to renew. We would rather know in advance than keep you with a clause.

Support from day one

From the first day, a person who knows the EUDR guides you through every stage of compliance and every step of the software, with meetings and a direct channel, in Spanish or English. It is part of the licence, not a separate service.

EUDR only

The first line of code was written with customers who wanted to solve the EUDR, and we have not added another regulation since. Every screen serves something the regulation requires.

Satellite: analysis, risk and mitigation

Every farm is analysed with three indicators: our in-house model on Sentinel-2 imagery, Global Forest Watch alerts and RADD alerts, always before and after 31 December 2020 and cross-checked against the JRC 2020 forest map. Every alert goes through a risk assessment and, if needed, SPOT very-high-resolution imagery and evidence from the producer. The result: no false positive reaches your statement.

Legality by country of origin

The platform asks for different documents depending on the country of origin and validates them with AI. If a document does not exist or the producer does not have it, our experts find the valid alternative in that country.

The technical side

Data hosted on Google Cloud, in the European Union. An API to integrate the statement into your ERP and a direct connection to the EUDR Information System. Free supplier portal, unlimited users and a platform up and running in hours.

When Coolx is not the best option

Three cases where we save you the demo.

If you need more than the EUDR

If your company has to report CSRD, PPWR or CBAM and you want a single platform for everything, a sustainability suite is a better fit.

If your EUDR problem is small

A single supplier, few shipments a year and little data to analyse: a customs broker, a consultancy or doing it by hand in the EUDR Information System may work out cheaper.

If you are not an obligated operator or trader

If you buy within the EU and you are an SME, you do not need any software today, ours included. Keep the reference numbers of your suppliers' statements.

Frequently asked questions about this comparison

Which is the best EUDR software?
There is no best one for everyone. For a group reporting several regulations it is usually a suite; for a company that only has to comply with the EUDR and has no dedicated team, a specialised tool with human support. This comparison gives you the criteria and the public data to decide.
How much does EUDR software cost?
Prices published in November 2026 range from very limited free plans (LiveEO Lite, TraceX basic) and €90 per profile per year (Trusty AG) to €4,000 a year (Polygon One), via €2,950 a year (Coolx), €2,900 a year for exporters (Polygon One) and €3,990 a year (LiveEO Professional). osapiens, Coolset and Supply Logica do not publish prices.
Can I comply with the EUDR without software?
Yes. The EUDR Information System is free and so is Global Forest Watch. It pays off when you have one or two suppliers with polygons already collected and few shipments. It stops paying off when you have to request legality evidence at origin or submit statements every week.
What is the difference between EUDR-only software and a sustainability suite?
A suite covers several regulations (CSRD, CSDDD, PPWR, CBAM) with one vendor; specialised software does only the EUDR, usually with more depth in legality by country and in working with the exporter at origin.
What if I choose wrongly and want to switch?
Check the published lock-in before signing. LiveEO publishes an exit after three months, Trusty AG no commitment, Coolset one year with automatic renewal and 30 days' notice, and Coolx an annual licence with no lock-in; the rest do not publish it, so ask in writing.
Why a comparison written by one of the companies compared?
Because the EUDR software comparisons that exist in Europe have also been published by vendors. What changes here is the method: only data each vendor publishes on its website, with the date of consultation, a section on the cases in which Coolx is not the best option, and my name at the bottom.
